Kimoto Platesetter

Kimosetter 410 and Kimoplate e2 offer an environmentally friendly, desktop CTP (computer-to-plate) technology for small offset printers. The innovative combination of this CTP solution offers a compact, non-chemical plate making system, which fits next to the designer's computer.

The Kimoplate e2 is dimensionally stable, polyester printing plate exclusively designed for the Kimosetter 410 ribbon cartridges. No etching solution or post-fusing are required as the plate is press-ready immediately after printing. Matte, hydrophilic coating has better water-holding capacity and is scratch and fingerprint resistant. It is economical, chemical free, requires no background toner, demonstrates excellent stability and fast recovery, and is compatible with most fountain solutions and printing inks.

Kimosetter 410 utilizes thermal ribbon transfer printing method that affords major improvements over laser printable polyester plates. No heat is required to fix the image. Therefore, there is no shrinkage of the polyester plate. It accommodates all popular plate sizes up to 52cm size machine and comes with an enhanced RIP CD for Windows and Macintosh applications.
